CUHK achievements 2026

2026 marks a significant milestone in CUHK’s development. With the collective efforts of our faculty, students, alumni, and partners over the years, CUHK continued to make remarkable strides in education, research, and innovation, gaining widespread recognition locally, nationally, and globally.

This year, CUHK further strengthened its global standing through outstanding achievements in international rankings. In QS World University Rankings, CUHK climbed 14 places to 18th globally and entered the global top 20 for the first time. It rose 9 places to 28th globally in the Best Global Universities Rankings by U.S. News & World Report, retaining its top position in Hong Kong for the fourth consecutive year. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, CUHK ranked 10th in Asia, marking its ninth consecutive year among Asia’s top 10 universities.
