The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) will confer honorary doctorates on the following three distinguished persons at its 82^nd Congregation to be held on Thursday, 1 December, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their respective areas of achievement in social, educational, arts and cultural progress and the promotion of community welfare.

Doctor of Literature, honoris causa

The Venerable Master HSING YUN
Doctor of Social Science, honoris causa
(Master Hsing Yun is unable to come to Hong Kong to attend the Congregation. His degree will be conferred in absentia.)
