CUHK students win championship at Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Hong Kong
A team of students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) recently won the championship at the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Hong Kong (Huawei ICT Competition). The team will represent Hong Kong in the Huawei ICT Competition Asia Pacific 2022-2023.
Huawei held its first ICT Competition in Hong Kong last year. It launched the second competition in Hong Kong recently, attracting more than 600 students from universities in Hong Kong. After several months of online training, preliminary contests, multiple rounds of assessment and fierce competition, 16 teams entered the final. CUHK team Cloud Players won the championship with their rich ICT knowledge, skills and innovative thinking. Team members include Zhang Wenyu, a fourth-year PhD in statistics, Zhang Haoyu, who is in year one of studying for an MS in information engineering, and Chu Chun-to, a fifth-year undergraduate from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Zhang Wenyu also achieved the highest score among the participants.
