The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) condemns any act of violence, and is saddened by the injuries caused by the violent disturbances that raged in Mong Kok in the early hours of 9 February.  CUHK knows that two of its students were arrested, and will continue to keep track of the latest developments from the incident and the circumstances of those students.

CUHK appeals to various sectors of the community to express their opinions through rational, peaceful, non-violent and lawful means.
