Dear colleagues and students,

In view of the stabilizing situation of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the default mode of delivery of teaching and learning in the upcoming Term 2 of 2022-23 will continue to be in person and on campus for all undergraduate and research postgraduate students. Same as the arrangement for taught postgraduate students in Term 1, there may be flexibility in teaching arrangements for taught postgraduate programmes, i.e. the mode of delivery of teaching and learning can be in person or hybrid.

With the relaxation in travel restrictions in Hong Kong and other places, all students are expected to be back on campus for face-to-face classes in Term 2, and no special arrangements will be made for any delays due to travel restrictions.  Members of the University who are currently outside Hong Kong or who will travel abroad for the holiday are advised to plan carefully for their return to Hong Kong in time for the commencement of Term 2. Attention should also be paid to the prevailing quarantine and testing requirements in entering Hong Kong.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I look forward to welcoming you all back on campus in the next Term in January 2023.
