CUHK’s School of Architecture presents the 29th Master of Architecture Graduation Show, showcasing the future of architectural design
The 29th Master of Architecture Graduation Show, organised by The Chinese University of Hong Kong’s (CUHK) School of Architecture, is being held from 26 June to 30 June 2025 (Phase 1) and from 4 July to 18 July 2025 (Phase 2). Themed “0 0 0”, the Graduation Show celebrates the work of the 29th graduating class and showcases the future of architectural design through innovative projects addressing social resilience, ecological regeneration and inventive spatial thinking.
“At the heart of our work is a commitment to exploration and learning – as we declare our design priorities, chase them with rigour, search for evidence, reflect on challenges and advance toward achievements,” said Mr Adam Fingrut, Director of the Master of Architecture Programme. He added that he hopes every graduate will embrace this ethos in whatever they do next.
Professor Peter W. Ferretto, Director of the School of Architecture, said: “This marks a significant milestone in the students’ architectural career and, as they will discover in the years to come, it is a special moment in their life. How the profession will be shaped and how we practise architecture in the future is now in their hands.”
Around sixty graduation projects will be showcased through design layouts and models, exploring topics such as different scenes of extreme conditions, reimagining Happy Valley Racecourse, rural revitalisation in Sha Tau Kok, future tram-line and building with green in Hong Kong, “workbitats” in the GBA, sustainable and future-orientated prototypes in Mong Kok, application of “air rights” for redevelopment in Hong Kong, high-density housing and cross-border futures for the Hong Kong-Shenzhen metropolis. Please refer to attachment for selected student project briefs.
