CUHK Students Winning Three Film Awards in Taiwan

A film production crew mainly comprises undergraduate and postgraduate students of the School of Journalism and Communication at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has won three awards at the 9th Golden Sugarcane Film Festival in Taiwan, including Best Director, Best Actress and Best Cinematography, with a feature film named ‘Room 12’.  The crew produced the short film in a rural township, Linbian Township, in Pingtung County.  All participating crews of the film festival were required to finish filming and post-production in only one week’s time.  The film produced by the CUHK crew also got four nominations in Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design and Best Sound Editing.
