Prof. Jacqueline CK Lam is a Christian scholar and Co-Director at HKU-AI WiSe, also an Associate Professor at HKU EEE Dept. In this talk, Jacqueline will share her over a decade-long journey in developing and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data for Social Good together with Director at HKU-AI WiSe and Chair of Information Engineering at HKU EEE Dept., Prof Victor OK Li. In particular, she will explore how AI can be harnessed to address critical social challenges while also serving as a platform to advance the gospel. Drawing from HKU-AI WiSe’ published works on AI for Social Good, she will delve into innovative applications of AI in sectors such as healthcare, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, she will describe briefly how one can embed Christian values into the LLMs. Join us in discussing how Christians can leverage on AI and Big data to build dialogues with non-Christian scientists and engineers.
