Event Details:

Launched in the first term of 2021-22, the Co-operative Education Programme aims to enhance participating students’ professional knowledge and deepen their industry insights related to their academic majors and interests. It also aims to strengthen students’ commercial acumen through a structured programme combining classroom-based education with practical work experience, thus offering them better employment opportunities upon graduation.

The Co-op Programme is open to penultimate and final-year undergraduate students from all disciplines across CUHK’s eight faculties who display academic excellence alongside outstanding performance in non-academic disciplines. A pool of 100 young talents will be selected via a rigorous interview process for the first cohort. Interested students, please complete the online application form (https://bit.ly/3yWTU7V) by 15 October 2021.

To give students a better understanding about the programme curriculum and structure, an information session is to be held on 7 October 2021 (Thu). Interested students please sign up by clicking the following link, https://bit.ly/3kHFJ2I. Registration will be closed on 5 October 2021.

Remarks:

CUHK’s Co-operative Education Programme (Co-op@CUHK) prides itself in being the first of its kind in Hong Kong, open to CUHK’s penultimate and final-year students of all disciplines who exhibit good academic standing, a breadth of extra-curricular activities and a positive, can-do attitude.

Co-op@CUHK is an academically accredited programme that combines classroom learning with productive and paid work experience in a field related to students’ academic or career goals.

Through around eight months of valuable paid work experience alongside CUHK’s bespoke courses, Co-op gives students the opportunity to build up their technical soft skills, industry insights and professional networks while earning their degree.
