Dr Derrick Au

Biography of Speaker:

Director of CUHK Centre for Bioethics and specialist in gerontology and rehabilitation, and former health services manager. His former positions include Hospital Chief Executive of Kowloon Hospital, Director (Quality and Safety) of Hospital Authority, etc. Dr. Au has been writing columns and publishing books on humanities in the pen name of “Au Man-hoi” for years. His recent publications include, inter alia, 《醫院筆記:時代與人》(2016), 《有詩的時候》(2017), and《生命倫理的四季大廈》(2019).

Synopsis of Lecture:

The 19th session of the I·CARE Salon, originally scheduled for November, was postponed due to the social incidents. It is now fixed on 10 January 2020 (Friday) with a slightly amended topic being “Confronting a Mental Health Epidemic”. The venue has also been changed from the previous one.
