Event Details:

This webinar will discuss two distinctive types of responses to COVID-19: Individual self-protective responses and public policy responses. While individuals seek to stay away from risky occasions, such as travelling and staying at Airbnb, we will illustrate the factors that affect the sensitivity of Airbnb bookings to COVID-19. In terms of public policy responses, on one hand we will identify key epidemiological parameters of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, on the other hand we will review compare measures and their effectiveness of various developed countries and regions, on aspects of testing, contact-tracing and containment measures. A combination of individual and policy responses will help to control the pandemic around the world.
