Biography of Speaker:

Ms. Larine Chung obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong before emigrating to the United States in 2004 with her family. She continued to refine her craft and graduated from the Classical Atelier programme trained in classical painting tradition under renowned painter and writer Juliette Aristides. Ms. Chung’s works have received recognition internationally and she was the recipient of the Waterway fellowship (Studio Escalier, France), Robert DeZordo Scholarship (Gage Academy, USA) and Gregory Robinson Scholarship (Pratt Fine Arts Center, USA). She is currently an Artistic Director of Eastside Artists Collaborative and an Art Instructor at Gage Academy of Fine Art, Seattle.

In this talk, Larine will reflect and look back on the past ten years of her art journey, sharing some thoughts behind her education and career decision. Slides of her works will be shown so as to illustrate her artistic development in the past decade.
