The “Smart Logistics Datathon 2026” will take place from October 30 to November 1, 2026 at the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy campus.

The Smart Logistics Datathon aims to inspire and empower young talents to explore innovative solutions and deepen their understanding of modern logistics challenges and opportunities. The Datathon will feature two leagues: one for full-time university students from Asian institutions, and another for senior-year local secondary school students, with each team comprises of two to three members. At most 20 teams in each league will be selected and invited to compete onsite in Hong Kong. Building on current AI trends, this year’s Datathon centers on the theme “AI-Driven Horizons for Logistics Intelligence”, placing particular emphasis on leveraging AI to facilitate data analysis and drive innovative insights.

Over the course of 35 hours, participating teams will work with real-world transport and logistics datasets, applying their analytical skills and creativity to generate insights that can drive value for the industry. The competition offers an excellent platform for students to enhance their abilities in analytics, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and presentation skills. At the end of the event, each team will present their results to a panel of expert judges in a 10-minute presentation. Scholarships will be awarded to the winning teams.

Moreover, we also feature the “Logistics Knowledge Enhancement Workshop Series” prior to the Datathon competition, with an aim to help senior secondary school students gain a deeper understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as data analytic skills.  The three consecutive workshops are free of charge and will include classroom learning, industry seminars, and site visits to logistics facilities. The first Workshop is scheduled on 3^rd October, 2026. Registration is required to secure seat.
