Starfish Bay, Ma On Shan

A Beach Cleaning Campaign specially for members of CUHK will be organized on Oct 31 at Starfish Bay, Ma On Shan. Students, staff and alumni of CUHK are welcome to come with your family and friends. 

Participants will also help in collecting data for the Green Council to facilitate environmental protection.

Quota : 100 pax
(Participating students / staff / alumni are welcome to come with their families and friends. Free admission. First come first served.)
Gathering Point: Wu Kai Sha MTR Station

Programme Rundown : 

Points to note :

1. On the day of the event, we will take a 15-minute walk from the gathering point to the beach. Afterwards, 1.5 hours will be spent on the beach for cleaning. 
2. Please dress appropriately and bring your rain gear, hat, sunblock and insect repellent. Don’t wear slippers or sandals to avoid cut by stones and shells.
3. Please bring your own water and ball pen.
4. To help protect the natural surroundings, don’t cause harm to wild animals or vegetation and don’t litter
5. The event will be cancelled without any further notification if one of the following is hoisted 2 hours before the meeting time: Thunderstorm Warning, Rainstorm Warning (Amber, Red or Black), Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or above.
6. As there is no public toilet on the beach, the participants are recommended to go toilet before gathering.
