Mr. Justice Kemal Bokhary GBM
The Honorable Mr. Justice Bokhary has had a distinguished professional career in Hong Kong, culminating in his appointment as one of the founding members of the Court of Final Appeal. Until his retirement as a Permanent Justice in 2012 he was the longest-serving member of the CFA. His contribution to Hong Kong’s legal system, and the rule of law in Hong Kong, is highly regarded, both by the legal profession and the wider community.
Justice Bokhary was appointed a non-permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal in 2012. As a non-permanent Judge, he is better placed to make a greater contribution to the Faculty as an Honorary Professor, and has indicated on his long-standing relationship with the Faculty of Law. These include his role as Chair of the Faculty Advisory Board (since its establishment) and Chair of the PCLL Academic Board.
