The sampling error is + or &ndash; 3.67 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. &nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Major findings are summarized as follows:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Satisfaction <\/strong><strong>towards<\/strong><strong> the HKSAR Government.<\/strong>&nbsp; According to the current survey in August, 40.8% of the 716 respondents expressed dissatisfaction towards the HKSAR Government, 18.6% said they were satisfied and 39.4% answered &lsquo;in-between&rsquo;.&nbsp; The corresponding figures in July were 40.9%, 17.2%, and 40.5%. &nbsp;Results of August 2016 were not significantly different from those of the past month statistically.&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Rating of Chief Executive LEUNG Chun-ying.<\/strong>&nbsp; The current survey in August showed that the performance rating of Chief Executive (with a point scale ranging from 0 to 100 while 50 as a passing mark) stood at 39.7 in average and it was 40.1 last month, and the difference between July 2016 and August 2016 was also found to have no statistical significance.&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Ratings of Three Secretaries. <\/strong>&nbsp;The ratings of Chief Secretary for Administration (Carrie LAM), Financial Secretary (John TSANG), and Secretary for Justice (Rimsky YUEN) in August 2016 were 53.3, 61.1, and 47.4 respectively.&nbsp; The corresponding figures in July 2016 were 54.2, 61.7, and 47.6. &nbsp;No statistically significant differences were observed in the ratings of three secretaries between July 2016 and August 2016.&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Trust in the HKSAR and the Central Governments.&nbsp; <\/strong>In August 2016, 23.3% of the respondents showed trust in the HKSAR Government and 33.4% expressed distrust; 42.3% answered &lsquo;in-between&rsquo;.&nbsp; The results of July 2016 were 21.8%, 32.2%, and 44.3% respectively.&nbsp; There was no statistically significant difference in trust in the HKSAR Government between July 2016 and August 2016. &nbsp;Concerning the level of trust in the Central Government in August 2016, while 23.2% said they trusted the Central Government, 38.3% answered the opposite; 35.4% said &lsquo;in-between&rsquo;.&nbsp; The respective figures in the previous month were 22.3%, 39.5%, and 33.6%. &nbsp;Again, the difference between July 2016 and August 2016 was also found to be statistically insignificant.&nbsp;<\/p>","show_as_achievement":false,"achievement_category":[],"show_as_clarification":false,"show_as_announcement":false,"photos":null,"attachments":null,"video_source":null,"video_file":null,"add_play_button":false,"video_caption":"","show_migration":false,"original_id":"2328","photos_original":null,"attachments_original":[{"link":"57c902783b1e4.pdf","text":"Attachment (Chinese version only)"}]},"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":{"enabledWorkflows":[]},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/press\/49308","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/press"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/press"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/press\/49308\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=49308"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=49308"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
