{"id":47376,"date":"2015-09-29T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-29T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/press\/survey-findings-on-the-hksar-governments-popularity-in-september-2015released-by-hong-kong-institute-of-asia-pacific-studies-at-cuhk\/"},"modified":"2015-09-29T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-09-29T00:00:00","slug":"survey-findings-on-the-hksar-governments-popularity-in-september-2015released-by-hong-kong-institute-of-asia-pacific-studies-at-cuhk","status":"publish","type":"press","link":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/press\/survey-findings-on-the-hksar-governments-popularity-in-september-2015released-by-hong-kong-institute-of-asia-pacific-studies-at-cuhk\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey Findings on the HKSAR Government\u2019s Popularity in September 2015Released by Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies at CUHK"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","tags":[],"class_list":["post-47376","press","type-press","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"title_alt":"","sub_title_alt":"","press_date":"20150929","keep":false,"details":"<p>A telephone survey was conducted from 21 to 24 September 2015 by Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong to study the popularity of the HKSAR Government for the month of September 2015.&nbsp; 762 respondents aged 18 or above were successfully interviewed, with a response rate of 40.0%.&nbsp; The sampling error is + or &ndash; 3.55 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Major findings are summarized as follows:<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Satisfaction <\/strong><strong>towards<\/strong><strong> the HKSAR Government.<\/strong>&nbsp; According to the survey, while 44.6% of the 762 respondents expressed dissatisfaction towards the HKSAR Government, 18.0% said they were satisfied and 36.5% answered &lsquo;in-between&rsquo;.&nbsp; The corresponding figures in August 2015 were 42.0%, 19.5%, and 36.6%.&nbsp; Results of September 2015 were not significantly different from those of the past month statistically.<\/p><p><strong>Rating of Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying.<\/strong>&nbsp; The current survey showed that the performance rating of Chief Executive (with a point scale ranging from 0 to 100 while 50 as a passing mark) stood at 40.1 in average and it was 42.7 last month, but the difference between August 2015 and September 2015 was found to have no statistical significance.<\/p><p><strong>Ratings of Three Secretaries. <\/strong>&nbsp;The ratings of Chief Secretary for Administration (Carrie Lam), Financial Secretary (John Tsang), and Secretary for Justice (Rimsky Yuen) in September 2015 were 54.1, 60.3, and 48.0 respectively.&nbsp; The corresponding figures in August 2015 were 55.7, 60.8, and 50.1. No statistically significant differences were observed in the ratings of three secretaries between August 2015 and September 2015.<\/p><p><strong>Trust in the HKSAR and the Central Governments.&nbsp; <\/strong>In September 2015, 21.7% of the respondents showed trust in the HKSAR government and 32.2% expressed distrust; 44.1% answered &lsquo;in-between&rsquo;.&nbsp; The results of August 2015 were 25.1%, 32.8%, and 40.6% respectively.&nbsp; There was no statistically significant difference in trust in the HKSAR Government between August 2015 and September 2015. &nbsp;Concerning the level of trust in the Central Government in September 2015, while 21.5% said they trusted the Central Government, 40.6% answered the opposite; 34.4% said &lsquo;in-between&rsquo;.&nbsp; The respective figures in the previous month were 25.6%, 34.9%, and 36.0%. &nbsp;The difference between August 2015 and September 2015 was found to be statistically significant.&nbsp;<\/p>","show_as_achievement":false,"achievement_category":[],"show_as_clarification":false,"show_as_announcement":false,"photos":null,"attachments":null,"video_source":null,"video_file":null,"add_play_button":false,"video_caption":"","show_migration":false,"original_id":"2084","photos_original":null,"attachments_original":[{"link":"560a0e57e3020.pdf","text":"Attachment (Chinese version only)"}]},"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":{"enabledWorkflows":[]},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/press\/47376","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/press"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/press"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/press\/47376\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=47376"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=47376"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
