The ceremony was presided over by <strong>Professor John Chai Yat-chiu<\/strong>, Chairman of the Council.<\/p>\r\n<p>In his address, <strong>Professor Dennis Lo Yuk-ming<\/strong>, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, said:\u00a0\u201cIt is my great honour and pleasure to deliver my first Congregation address as the ninth Vice-Chancellor and President of the University. Together, we stand at a juncture of brimming with opportunities and hope. I have witnessed firsthand how groundbreaking solutions often emerge when we dare to view the world from a different perspective. Be open to novel ideas, and have the courage to transform your visionary thoughts into realities that bring positive change to the world.\u201d He expressed his hope that the graduates let the University motto \u201cThrough learning and temperance to virtue\u201d be a timeless reminder that decisions should always be guided by ethics, and one should demonstrate an unyielding passion for lifelong learning, and navigate fears and doubts with integrity and wisdom.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Doctoral, master\u2019s and bachelor\u2019s degrees for 2025 awarded<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>A total of 784 doctoral degrees, 9,238 master\u2019s degrees and 5,553 bachelor\u2019s degrees were conferred at the Congregation.
