The University\u2019s Administrative and Planning Committee unanimously resolved not to approve the request and its opposition and principles are on the public record.  The University never authorised the display of the statue on its campus, and no organisation has claimed responsibility for its maintenance and management.  \r\n\r\nTwo concerned parties were initially involved in moving the statue on campus. The \u201cHong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China\u201d was recently dissolved, and the Chinese University Student Union is effectively dysfunctional. \r\n\r\nFollowing an internal assessment, and as the manager of the university campus, CUHK has removed the statue.","content_migration":false,"original_id":0,"end_date":null,"show_as_announcement":true,"photos":null,"video_source":"","video_file":"","add_play_button":false,"video_caption":"","fb_photo":null,"cover_image":null},"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":{"enabledWorkflows":[]},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/announcement\/121938","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/announcement"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/announcement"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/announcement\/121938\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":121945,"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/announcement\/121938\/revisions\/121945"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.cpr.cuhk.edu.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=121938"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
