CUHK Shaw College Celebrates 26th Anniversary

26th Founder’s Day Celebration Ceremony of CUHK Shaw College

To celebrate its 26th anniversary, Shaw College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) held a celebration ceremony at the Lecture Theatre of the College earlier. The College invited Ms. Christine M.S. Fang, Chief Executive of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, as the Guest of Honour, as well as its trustees, donors, staff, alumni, parents and students to join the joyful event. About 100 awards were presented at the ceremony to recognize students with outstanding achievements in academic and various fields. Long Service Awards and Certificates of Appreciation were also presented to staff and teachers. A celebration luncheon was held following the event.

In celebration of the College’s anniversary, the students will also organize various activities in the coming weeks including fashion show, orienteering and thousand-people-feast, etc. 

Shaw College, the fourth constituent college of the University, was founded in 1986 with the generous donation of HK$110 million from Sir Run Run Shaw who is the patron of the College.
