The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) recently participated in the HICOOL 2025 Global Entrepreneur Summit in Beijing. CUHK showcased nine innovative healthcare-related entrepreneurial research projects, demonstrating the University’s global leadership in innovative research and knowledge transfer.

The summit attracted over 700 exhibitors and featured more than 120 conference and forum sessions, drawing over 50,000 professional attendees from more than 40 countries and regions.

During the event, Mr Chris Sun Yuk-han, Secretary for Labour and Welfare in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, visited the CUHK exhibition booth. He engaged in in-depth discussions with Professor Sham Mai-har, CUHK’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), to gain insights into the University’s research achievements and the latest developments in innovation.

Professor Sham said: “CUHK is committed to advancing innovation, technology and knowledge transfer. We are delighted to leverage the international platform offered by HICOOL to showcase our research teams’ latest achievements in medical technology and innovative entrepreneurship, and to engage in detailed exchanges with entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders from around the world. This event helps strengthen effective collaboration among the industry, academic and research sectors, while opening up broader prospects for the transformation and application of research outcomes, and injecting fresh innovation momentum into national and regional development.”
