Synopsis of Lecture:

The advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) brings us convenience in connecting people and accessing information. Google, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Microblog, and other social media have become daily social activities for most people. The growth of social media impacts our exposure to acquire or create knowledge, language use and learning styles. It influences the way we interact with knowledge and the nature of learning to create new opportunities in education. In this lecture, the three speakers will talk about effective use of social media to enhance language and generic skills for better performance in English, Chinese and Liberal Studies.
