CUHK Participates in Earth Hour 2011

WWF Hong Kong is now organizing “Earth Hour 2011” to raise public awareness on climate change. At 8:30pm on March 26 (Saturday), Hong Kong will join other cities across the world to turn off their lights for one hour as an alert to people to take action on climate change.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong will support the global campaign to show our care about climate change. During Earth Hour the decorative flood lighting at the following locations will be turned off:

– Crooked Bridge and Arch Bridge at Lake Excellentiam of Chung Chi College

– Pavilion of Harmony at New Asia College

– New Asia and United Colleges Water Towers

– The lawn outside Adam Schall Residence at United College

– Herbal Garden, Kuo Mou Hall and Student Hostel II at Shaw College

– Outdoor Garden at Lee Shau Kee Building

– Satellite Remote Sensing Receiving Station
