Remarks:

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the decades of successful development of collections in the library, the University Library System is mounting a joint exhibition “From the Treasure House: Jewels from the Library of The Chinese University of Hong Kong” with the Art Museum on the valuable Chinese and English materials the library has assembled over the years. On display will be more than 100 items, including Chinese and Western rare books dated 13th to 18th centuries, calligraphies and paintings, rubbings, manuscripts and handwritten letters of notable Qing dynasty (1644-1911) and contemporary scholars and artists. The exhibition includes also other significant archives and valuable oracle bones of the Shang dynasty (ca. 1675-1029 BC). All are welcome to visit the exhibition.
