Event Details:

To accompany the exhibition, “Phoenix Reborn: Chu Jades Excavated from Hubei”, Art Museum organizes public lecture series and invites experts in the area of jade from the mainland of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong to share their study and research.

5:30-7:00pm:
Topic: Rites and Adornment: Dragon Pendant and the Use of Jade in the Eastern Zhou Period
Speaker: Dr. Eileen Lam (Assistant Professor, Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, the Education University of Hong Kong)

7:30-9:30pm:
Topic: Appreciation of Chu Jade Dragon and Phoenix– from tombs of Marquis Yi of Zeng and Jiuliandun
Speaker: Mr. Lam Kai Loi (Lecturer, Jade course jointly organised by The Hong Kong Institute for Promotion of Chinese Culture & Jao Tsung-I Academy)
