王淑英教授現任香港中文大學協理副校長、入學及學生資助處處長兼社會學系教授。王教授的專研項目主要包括教育社會學、組織及高等教育研究。

近年教育界開始出現情感教育的說法，重視教育過程中的非認知技能的培養。本講先檢視不同社會對情感教育的相異理解，並由此帶出心理學進路、教育學進路與社會學進路對各式情感現象的迥異處理，最後以此三種進路為綱，討論當今香港學校內外的情感教育現況。
