Event Details:

The lecture is free and open to secondary school students and teachers. It focuses on topical issues central to the new undergraduate programme “Global Communication” which is to be launched by the Faculty of Social Science of CUHK in 2017. Light refreshments will be served after the lecture so students can interact with the speaker.

Synopsis of Lecture:

News is the first draft of history. Journalists are observers, recorders and travelers who roam unknown territories and make connections between the past and present. Amid the wave of globalisation, boundless flow and immense volume of information trigger new roles and vision for journalist who filter out the essence and communicate the fact as news curators, knowledge brokers and sense-makers.
