The lecture introduces the following 7 undergraduate programmes at CUHK to secondary school students interested in mathematics and its application in business:
1) BEng Financial Technology
2) Interdisciplinary Major Programme in Global Economics and Finance
3) Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Analysis
4) Quantitative Finance
5) Quantitative Finance and Risk Management Science
6) Risk Management Science
7) Statistics
It will explain the unique focus of the programmes and how they cater to the interests and development of students. Participants will be able to consult programme representatives at the programme consultation counters at end of the lecture. Light refreshments will be served after the lecture so students can interact with the speaker and programme representatives.
Many school students do well in Mathematics but are not sure how their talents can be put to good use in their future careers. This talk discusses 7 CUHK undergraduate programmes in business and finance fields to show how these cater to students with good quantitative and analytical skills, and have different aspirations, abilities and interests.
