Dr. Richard Eng
Dr. Ng King Hang, known to most as Dr. Richard Eng, earned an EdD degree at the University of Hong Kong in 2025. His doctoral thesis was awarded the “Best Doctor of Education Thesis 2024-25”. He also earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the same university in 2013.
Dr. Eng is the co-founder and Academic Director of a tutorial school chain in Hong Kong, which is a subsidiary of a local public-listed company. He has been teaching English to upper secondary students and adults for 37 years. In 2019, he published an article on the tutoring industry in Hong Kong in ECNU Review of Education.
From a grassroots family background to outstanding academic achievement, Dr. Richard Eng built a tutorial school into a listed company. A living testament to endless personal and professional growth.
