At around 10:30 this morning, a group of individuals damaged the gate lock at The Sir Philip Haddon-Cave Sports Field, and entered the storehouse without permission. They removed a number of bows, arrows and javelins, equipment that are normally used for athletic training purpose. As the arrowheads are metallic, inappropriate use of these items may pose serious danger to others.

Representatives of CUHK Administration responded promptly and were able to subsequently retrieve all of the sports equipment that were known to have been taken.

The University appeals to all students and staff to observe their own safety and stay away from zones of conflicts when entering and leaving campus.
