CUHK ISEIS Researcher Wins Best Youth Paper Award in International Conference

Dr. JIANG Liming, postdoctoral research fellow of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science (ISEIS), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) recently received the Best Youth Oral Presentation Award at the 6th International Symposium on Digital Earth (ISDE6) in Beijing.

Dr. JIANG Liming’s paper presented his study on high resolution satellite radar interferometry to monitor land subsidence related to large-scale civil infrastructures, which has been applied to the Metro Line 4 in Shenzhen and the Lantau Link in Hong Kong. Supported by the Competitive Earmarked Research Grant of the Research Grants Council and Innovation and Technology Fund of the Innovation and Technology Commission, he has been collaborating with the Airport Authority Hong Kong and MTR Corporation to conduct research on monitoring land subsidence due to reclamation and subway tunneling.
