Synopsis of Lecture:

Over the years, the University Library System has acquired very finely reproduced artworks comprising works of calligraphy and painting from the Tang to the Qing Dynasty. The originals of these works are housed in museums such as National Palace Museum, Taipei, Shanghai Museum and British Museum. These art reproductions are made by specialists including the Nigensha Publishing Co. Ltd. in Japan, which require a high standard of professional and specialized skills.Currently, these art reproductions are kept in the Ch’ien Mu Library of the New Asia College for teaching and research purposes. Aiming at a wider audience, ULS selected 23 scrolls and 8 leaves to be displayed in this exhibition.
