Synopsis of Lecture:

The CUHK Convocation has been committed to raising funds for the University and for the community-at-large as a means of alumni giving back. Jointly organized by the Convocation, the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Alumni Association of CUHK, this fund-raiser aims to support the purchase of a new energy platform to enable the performance of both endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery at the Endo-Laparoscopic Theatre in the new hospital building of the Prince of Wales Hospital. In the past two decades, the combined endoscopy centre of The Chinese University of Hong Kong has contributed tremendously in therapeutic endoscopy, benefiting patients suffering from illnesses including bleeding peptic ulcers and bile duct stones. As the Faculty of Medicine enters its 30th year of advanced medical research and service to the public, your contribution towards this meaningful cause will be of lasting impact.
