We are privileged to have Dr. Vinod Shah, formerly of the US FDA, as the principal lecturer in the workshop. A leader in providing the scientific foundation to the language in the Hatch-Waxman Act in 1984, Dr. Shah has been a champion of quality generic drug products. He has been active in scientific societies such as the AAPS and the FIP.

Event Details:

This workshop has three objectives: (1) to provide a historical perspective of bioavailability-bioequivalence (BABE) as well as an update on the latest thinking and developments on BABE; (2) to examine the emerging landscape dominated by products of higher complexity (combinations, critical dose and narrow therapeutic range drugs, and biosimilars), and (3) to investigate ways to assess BABE of drugs administered by routes of administration other than oral, such as transdermal.
