Synopsis of Lecture:

The Committee Against Sexual Harassment (the Committee) launched the year-long campus-wide “Respect Awareness Campaign” in March last year to further enhance the University community’s awareness of the importance of mutual respect and preventing sexual harassment. With your support, we have completed the Campaign, and now it is time to celebrate its successful conclusion and to thank everyone who has contributed to it.

The Committee will organize the “Respect Awareness Campaign” Closing Ceremony cum Thematic Talk on 20, March, 2019. We are honoured to have invited Mr. Eric Ng, Vice-President (Administration) and University Secretary, and Dr. Ferrick Chu, Acting Chief Operations Officer of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) , to officiate at the Ceremony. Dr. Ferrick Chu will give a thematic talk on “Break the Silence”. Based on the findings of a Territory-wide Study on Sexual Harassment of University Students in Hong Kong conducted by the EOC, Dr. Chu will share with us the findings of the report, in particular the aggregated statistics of CUHK.

Remarks:

The event will be conducted in Cantonese. Tea reception will be held after the ceremony.
