Remarks:

Bioengineering are fast bringing us ever novel technologies for medical and rehabilitation therapy. Our body can be fixed with artificial “spare parts”. Precise genome editing techniques not only can be used as therapy for patients, but also as enhancements for the normal. We now find ourselves with tools not only to change our world but also to potentially change ourselves fundamentally. The entertainment media have fantasized many kinds of cyborgs and transgenic humans, both as heroes and villains, often with abilities far beyond those of humans. What could we tell about ourselves from our dreams, quests, and pursuits?
