Synopsis of Lecture:

How to Become a Professional Early Childhood Educator?

Speaker: Professor LEUNG Kit-ying, Suzannie, Assistant Professor, Department of Curriculum and Instruction

Abstract: Early childhood education has become a popular field for many university graduates. There is a general belief in the myth that only a person who loves children will be able to take up the challenge of becoming a kindergarten teacher. But the fact is it takes more than that. In this lecture, the speaker will talk about knowledge, skills and personal characteristics that an early childhood educator should acquire, and how important a professional early childhood educator could be for the learning and development of young children.
