[美國史丹福大學博士，香港中文大學新聞及傳播學院教授及研究學部主任。研究興趣為新聞學及政治傳播。博士畢業回港時正值03七一大遊行，從此開展了多年對媒體與社會運動的關係的研究。近年亦為多個媒體平台撰寫文章，嘗試將學術研究結果帶到公共領域之中。]

在面對公共事務時，我們經常強調公民要理性思考。但其實情感對人們的政治態度和行動，也有很大的影響。 情感在民意的構成中有甚麼角色？新聞媒體如何進行情感的傳播？網絡和社交媒體又如何影響人們的情緒？
